You play eight white pawns against two black bishops, and nothing else. Some teachers call this game Bishops Rule. You win by getting one pawn to the far side of the board. The bishops win by capturing all of your pawns, or by leaving you with no pawn that can move.
Bishops slide along diagonals, and each one is stuck on its own colour of square for the whole game. That is the secret: watch which squares each bishop can reach before you move, and remember that a pawn standing diagonally behind another one protects it, because a pawn captures diagonally too.
There is no en passant in this game. Three difficulty levels change how far ahead the bishops look, and on easy they make mistakes so a beginner can win. Want to be the bishops instead? Try 2 Bishops vs Pawns.
