The queen is the most powerful piece. She can move any number of squares in a straight line, up, down, or sideways, and also any number of squares diagonally. She cannot jump over other pieces, so anything in her path stops her.
In these puzzles you steer the queen to the goal square around wall pawns. Because she can go so far in one move, most puzzles can be solved in just two or three moves if you spot the right line.
Tip: look for a square the queen can reach in one move that also has a clear line to the goal. That square is usually the answer.
